Waldorf Inspired Winnie-The-Pooh Course: Beginning Writing

  • 9 Steps

About

In this gentle beginning writing class, we will read whimsical and humorous A.A. Milne's Winnie-The-Pooh stories, draw pictures for pre-writing skills, and write short sentences using phonics, sight words, and beloved characters. Each week in class we will light a candle and read the story together (teacher reading) and then draw pictures based on the part of the story we read. We will do some short writing to process the story after drawing, as well, using letter recognition/phonic skills and sight words. Perfect for first and second grade students. It is recommended that you have Stockmar beeswax stick and block crayons and a sketchpad 9x12 or main lesson book for this course. The cost of this course includes access to the Nature Kiddos forum where you can share and post and share work with Ms. Jodi. Learning Goals: Students will listen to amazing tales, work on pre-writing drawing skills, and write short sentences along with Ms. Jodi. They will learn beginning writing skills in a fun and beautiful way with beloved characters. They will practice using stick and block crayons, as well. Course includes 8 video classes (video times are around 27 minutes depending on the story).
